Of course, I'm fighting RoadRunner also. The service has been screwed up for about three weeks. I know I did make a change, inside the house, but theoretically, it shouldn't affect RR. But just to make sure, I'm going to make another change, to "fix" that problem.
The service was completely down, yesterday morning. Tried rebooting the cable modem several times and never really did connect properly. By last night, everything was working fine again. But they don't see anything wrong on their end.
More rain this morning, followed by a chilly front. It's only supposed to get to about 60° today and tomorrow, and drop to 40° tonight. Brrrrr
Was talking with Lynn last night. He's been experiencing extreme fatigue for the last few weeks. And doesn't know what is causing it. I told him, now he knows a little of what I feel like, every day. And have felt this way for as long as I can remember. People look at me funny when I tell them I can just be standing talking to someone, and suddenly have this wave come over me where I just about pass out.
It doesn't make any difference if I sleep 5 hours or 25, the constant feeling of being exhausted permeates my entire body. But, when I go see the doctor, and he runs his battery of tests, everything comes back fine. Nope, he can't find anything wrong. Must just be depression, and he would be more than happy to prescribe Prozac. Geee, thanks, but fuck you!
The allergies are still going nutz. Those fricken cottonwoods are horny little bastards. They're just covering the neighborhood with their seeds. So my eyes are still puffy, the sneezing fits keep attacking.
Do you ever get sick of those people who are just so fucking chipper? The ones who wander through the office spouting things like "Happy Friday". And just bubbling all over themselves. And I really want to staple my bosses mouth shut, so he'll stop fucking whistling. Right now, he's in his office performing his rendition of the "William Tell Overture". I just want to puke!! It's almost like being forced to swallow an overdose of saccharin.
I just got an email from our central IT department, informing me I need to make sure everyone onsite, here, runs the anti-virus update before May 31. And to contact them when everyone has completed the task. I had somebody write me back asking why we are still running McAfee version 4.5 when the current version is 6. Unfortunately, I couldn't explain the thought patterns of our IT department.
