The only saving? grace is that I actually put snow tires on the car this year instead of the normal all season tires I normally use. For the first time, I've been able to get around without hardly any problems. Which I guess is a good thing, since every direction out of my neighborhood is up hill. The bad thing, I can't use the excuse that I can't get out of the neighborhood because of the snow any more.
I do have to take to car to a body shop and have it repaired. Even though I haven't had any problems on the snow, one of the kids at the store wasn't so lucky. The day after Christmas, he was parked next to me in the parking lot and when he started to leave, his car slid into mine. So now I have a crunched rear fender.
