I had Saturday off, and Lynn wanted to go to the Kansas Film Commission Summit in Lawrence. So I went with him. It was fun, but since I'm not in the film industry, I felt a little out of place. But there were lots of cute, young filmmakers there, to keep my eyes occupied. Plus, it was a nice sunny day, that wasn't too chilly. So it was good to get out of town for the afternoon.
I had to work Sunday, so he drove back to Lawrence, by himself to go to the morning brunch. I was a little concerned, since he's still suffering from the vertigo, on top of the pain from surgery. But I guess he did ok.
We had another thing to go to on Sunday night. It was a training session put on by Intel and HP. They held it at Dave & Busters. Now D&B is fine, if you're really into games and sports bars, neither of which thrill me. But it wasn't bad. I had to really speed to get there, since I didn't get off work until 8:00 and had to stop by and pick up Lynn on the way. It started at 8:30. We were actually only about 5 minutes late. However, they were just getting started when we walked in. Of course, all the food was already gone.
This week has been meeting hell week at the day job. Two meetings on Tuesday, morning and afternoon. And then a two day meeting on Wednesday and today. Yesterday, it started at 11:30 and finished at 6:30. Today, it was from 8:30 to 2:00. At least tomorrow should be fairly easy.
Sunday is mom's birthday. I still don't know if I work or not, since the schedule for next week still hasn't been published.
And finally, Lynn's follow-up appointment for his surgery is on Monday.
