We talked with the other facility she was at, and they said they might be able to do a "creative" eval, that might get her eligibility back, at least short term. The issue is, her house is definitely not set up for use by a mobile impaired individual. And, she's being stubborn and not wanting any modifications done. (That battle is still being waged.)
But my brother already said he would take her to his house for a few months. His problem was, his house isn't wheelchair/walker friendly either. When we talked to him last week, he thought it would be at least 2 - 3 weeks before he'd be ready for her. (Talking with him yesterday, he's been in contact with the state health system, and they can have all of the equipment out to his house this week.)
So she goes back to New Mark tomorrow morning. They'll keep her through tomorrow and do their evaluation. If they think she hasn't plateaued, they'll probably keep her a couple of weeks. Otherwise, she'll be headed to Wichita on Wednesday.
It actually went a lot smoother yesterday than what I expected. She's getting REALLY tired of being in institutions. And I can't say I blame her.
Other than that, not much happened this weekend. At least the weather appears to be improving, which isn't helping my spring fever, or my allergies. It's supposed to be around 70°F and bright sunshine today. In other words, putting the top down on the car time is just around the corner.
