A lovely way to start the morning

Ok, I know I'm getting too old to stay up until 1:00 every morning and then get up at 5:30 to start getting ready for work. But that seems to be how my schedule has been of late.

So, I overslept a bit this morning. Ended up jumping out of bed at 7:00. Run in to jump in the shower and have almost NO water pressure. (I've seen sick cows who piss a bigger stream.) So the quick 5 minute shower took 20. I found out later, there is a water main break at the end of the street. (Yeah, I had to drive through the flood as I was leaving. Apparently, it's 1 of 4 in the Northern Metro area that occurred this morning.) Crews are on their way, but not sure when they'll be available. (Isn't that the standard line from city service departments?)

So I made it in to work about 8:45. A little later than I normally would. I'm not too worried about that, though, since I'll be here until 9 or 10 tonight. I have to attend a meeting that starts about 5:00 and goes until the group decides they're hungry and want to break to go to dinner. Then it resumes tomorrow morning at 7:30 and runs till 11.

I feeeel jest like a Pointa Sista, "I'm so excited!"

(no subject)

I suppose if I were a paranoid, bigoted, Republican, like Tom Ridge, I should be contacting the Department of Homeland Security, right NOW! Since I saw two males, of apparently Middle Eastern descent, driving Ryder Rental trucks, stopped on the side of the road asking for directions.

Hoping my clothes will hurry up and dry......

As I look out the window, I can see it's pouring even harder now, than it was 15 minutes ago, when I walked between our buildings. I'm still pretty wet from that excursion.

Hopefully, it will let up before I have to run back across to go to the meeting. Boring meetings are bad enough, but damp and boring, that's just awful.
