"Classic Horror Movies for a $1.00"
We ended up getting about 8 of them, the original "House on Haunted Hill". the original "Little Shop of Horrors" and "The Brain That Wouldn't Die", plus several I hadn't heard of. They're all B&W classics. Just perfect for a bad movie night. Got all of them for less than half the price of one current DVD.
We really didn't do anything for Halloween. Went over to mom's for dinner, so we missed any kids that might have stopped by in the neighborhood. But mom only had one kid ring her bell, and normally she has about a dozen or so. So, I don't know if we would have had many, anyway.
I've been looking into getting a new phone. My current contract doesn't expire until next May, so I was really just starting the investigation phase. But I did notice Cingular has some attractive plans right now. Better than my current plan, with 2 to 3 times the number of minutes for about the same price. Anyway, I had noticed that the antenna on my phone was starting to get loose again. It's been that way for a couple of weeks. And knew it was only a matter of time before it broke off again. (I had to have it repaired about a year ago.) So, this morning, while switching stuff out of my pants from yesterday, I pulled my phone out of the pocket and no antenna.
So, at lunch I ran down to the Cingular store to turn it in and have it repaired. Last time it took a couple of days and cost about $10. I walked in and the service department is all dark and a sign up on the window. They no longer do repair service. Sorry, you'll have to buy a new phone. But, since your current contract doesn't expire until May, you aren't eligible for the full upgrade price until January 3. But you can have a partial upgrade discount now. Well, I'm sorry, but I can't really go two fricken months without a phone, and I'd still have to pay the monthly service fees. (They pretty much have you at that point.) So now I'm the proud owner of a new Motorola V400 color, camera phone. Just what I needed, a new toy to play with.
