Yay for electricity

Ok, oil lamps and candles are great for ambiance, but kinda suck when that's the only light available.  A storm came through Saturday night and blew power transformers all over the city.  Our lights came back on at 4:55 this morning.

So, two days with no lights, no internet, no hot food.  Well, the food in the fridge and freezer were getting warm, but I really wasn't wanting that.

Came in to work this morning, with everyone looking for me.  Apparently, there were several power outages at the plant, over the weekend, also.  So of course, no one could connect to the network.  I spent an hour tracking down the problem.  Turns out, some of the switches had to be powered down to reset them, then everyone was fine.

Not much else going on, which is good.  I did download the Semagic client, for my new computer at work.  Interestng interface, but I had been using the simple windows client, for so long, this will take a little getting used to.
