Unfortunately, when he got the invite, they didn't tell him, this was in conjunction with the H2H Film Festival. So we didn't know there were several films we could attend prior to the mixer.
But Lynn was able to make some good contacts. In fact, the president of Kansas Connection was impressed with him, and said they might be able to work out something with Lynn as a local representative. Kansas Connection is based in LA and they work to get film projects, here in the MidWest.
It was fun, but there wasn't much of a turnout, because it wasn't well publicized. Apparently, the Kansas City Film Festival was two weeks ago, but I hadn't heard anything about it, either. It's sad, for a city the size of KC, they should make more of an effort to promote these affairs. You hear about Sundance or Austin, everyone knows about them. You mention KC, and everyone goes "Huh?".
Oh well, I need to get something to eat and then head to bed. I have an 8:00 am meeting at the store, tomorrow, and then work from 1:00 pm to close.
