I almost fell for it

Well, I was almost the victim of an e-mail scam. I received a strange e-mail from supposedly, my ISP's billing department. Saying my account had been terminated because of invalid billing or credit card information. Wanted me to enter all of my information so it could be verified.

The e-mail subject was actually that my account had been terminated. Just happens that they had just charged my checking account 4 days ago. So I contacted them and found out this was a scam. That they hadn't sent the e-mail. And upon closer inspection, I discovered the web sight I was directed to was a .com instead of .net.

So, a word of warning, if you receive one of these emails, be very suspicious. Don't give them your information. Contact your ISP and verify it was really sent from them.
