Meetings week

I've spent most of this week, sitting in meetings. And today is turning out to be the same.

Tuesday and Wednesday were spent monitoring the training sessions. Luckily, I wasn't stuck sitting through the entire sessions.

Yesterday, I had a conference call at 8:30. However, the guy on the other end wasn't there. Apparently he forgot the meeting. But the people on this end still met until 9:20. I had just enough time to get everything together to take to the next meeting at 9:30. It lasted until 11:30. Another meeting from 2:00 to 3:00.

Come in this morning to find I have to "sit in" on a disciplinary meeting. So it lasted from 10:30 to 11:30. To say the least, I'm f'in meeting'd out.

I'm off work tonight, which is nice, and don't go in tomorrow until 4:00. So yay for sleeping in on Saturday.

Next week I'm attending the National Quality Conference for a couple of days. There are a few sessions that look interesting, and at least I'll get away from here for a while. And sometimes, those conferences do have some nice eye candy to distract you.

Lynn is wanting to buy his brother a new computer. He'd talked about just building one, but I told him, I can get him one that will be more than adequate, for about half the price. So we may run by the store tonight to get it. Actually, I'll buy it and than he'll pay me back. He had planned on going down to visit this weekend, but he didn't get paid, today, like he had hoped. So that may be delayed until next weekend or the weekend after.

It's a drizzly, raining day today. High temperature is only supposed to be in the middle 60's. So, being at work, isn't as rough as earlier in the week when it was 80°F and bright sunshine. Those days when I want to put the top down on the car and just take off on a road trip,.
