Today was the bi-monthly all day meeting. I just love those so much. The first 1 1/2 hours was spent with them trying to figure out how to get the projector to work and to get their Powerpoint presentations to load across the wide-area network. Hey folks, I hate to tell you this, but when you have a 5 MB presentation, and you're trying to load across a 256 kb fractional T1, with all the other normal network traffic, it takes forever.

I finally convinced them to download the files to the local server and then load them. Once that was done, the rest of the day proceeded without incident.

I worked at the store tonight. Went in at 6:00 and worked the floor until 7:30 and then went back to help unload the truck. They only scheduled two people to close the department. One of which is a new guy who started 3 days ago. So I came out and upstocked all the computers, monitors and printers, so they could concentrate on closing the department. So I got my workout for the night. I suppose I should have been nice and helped them downstock after I was done, but I'm getting tired of them depending on me to do it.

Lynn is at his last night of bowling. They are supposed to be giving out awards and trophies tonight. So he isn't home yet. I'm assuming he'll be later than usual. Dinner is in the oven, baking now. And I'm downloading e-mail.

I have two more meetings tomorrow and another on Friday. There are times when I wonder how American business stays in business with all the meetings everyone has. Next week I have a consultant coming in to do training. I had them come in back in September, and attended that session. I was told by my boss, that he wants me to attend this one too. Just to make sure this consultant says the same thing as the last one.

The store was filled with cute boys as usual. It's really difficult to concentrate with so much eye candy running around. I'm afraid one of these days, my mind will snap and I'll just ravage one of them right there in the store.
