Yes, it gets hot and sweaty, but it isn't going to kill me. In a way, I guess it's a good thing I don't have a roommate right now. Otherwise, there might be a problem of not having the AC on.
I'm really happy I was able to get out of going on the "team building" excursion today. Most of the managers all had to pack up at noon and head out to the country club to play golf. I just explained, putting a golf club in my hands would be dangerous to their health. Which means, I am the only manager here right now.
One of the guys at our corporate office is retiring at the end of the month, after 50 years with the company. He asked me a couple of months ago, if I would mind him recommending me as his replacement. I told him no, but I really hope they don't chose me. I don't want to get stuck in the center of the political nightmare that goes on at corporate, continuously.
Actually I am in awe of someone who has stayed with a company for 50 years. I am really getting burned out and need a change. Of course, I know a lot of people who can't believe I've stayed here for 15 years. Only 2 more months and I get my watch.:)
Obviously, I am bored right now. I suppose I really should get back to work. And also, stop rambling and wasting space with this entry.
