Busy, busy, busy.....

Ok, I'm updating from work, right now. I already worked all day and my night job, and now I will probably work all night at my day job.

I'm currently suffering from computer withdrawal? I haven't checked e-mail or even looked at LJ since Friday afternoon. Which means, I just clicked on e-mail and it is currently downloading 98 messages. I sure am glad I don't get spammed.

Some might ask why my schedule is so full. Well, a couple of things have happened at the day job to make it very "fun", right now. When the service techs were out a week ago, to do their semi-annual PM check of my x-ray equipment, they decided my XRF tube was definitely failing prematurely. So the decision was made to go ahead and change it out. This means a fun-filled week or two for me, while I recalibrate the instrument.

Add to that, the fact that the night job pendulum has swung back to over-scheduling my time, last week was 25 hours, this week it's 28. And I don't have a lot of free time to spend working on the recalibration, outside my normal schedule. All this adds up to, I worked 7:30 - 4:30 on Friday afternoon, followed by 6:00 - 11:00 Friday night. Then 7:00 - 10:00 Saturday morning at the quarterly morning meeting, noon to 3:30 at the other, and back to the first from 4:30 to 11:00. And today, 11:00 to 7:30, and now 9:30 to who knows.

Sleep????? What's that?

At least I don't have to worry about to many interruptions, working at this hour. I have one technician working in the lab tonight. She'll be leaving at 2:00, so I'll be alone until 6:00 when the day person comes in. I'll probably stay until the boss arrives at 8:30 or 9:00. If I can stay awake that long.......
